Leadership is one of the few jobs we routinely hand to people with zero instruction.
“Congratulations! Now hold this bomb.”
It’s astonishing how universal this is. From first-time managers to senior directors, few receive formal leadership training.
That realization, combined with my own life experience and a 30-year ad agency career (where leadership training is virtually nonexistent), inspired me to create the College of Unifying Leadership Techniques—or C.U.L.T.
Hi. I’m Dave Moore. And I’ve developed this course by drawing from two very different chapters of my life.
First: the foundations of leadership I learned as a US Army Drill Sergeant. (Don’t worry, this has nothing to do with Full Metal Jacket.)
Second: a curated set of mindfulness and distress-tolerance tools rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, gathered during my own life-saving mental health journey.
These concepts combine to form a simple, solid foundation that empower you to discover the leader you’re meant to be, based on the values and superpowers you most likely already have.
This is me, learning some hard lessons, way too young.
This is not a “grindset mindset” style leadership course.
Instead, you get a behind-the-curtain look at how leadership really works and the tools to help you define your own, unique leadership style.
This is not coaching, a subscription or downloads. It’s real principles and tools designed to define your OWN leadership style. It’s four 90-minute sessions, taught live and one-on-one, from the comfortable glow of your very own screen.

individual sessions
Splitting them up is suggested but the course can be taken all at once.

I will comb what little hair I have left for this.
Dave has taken his unique experience as both a drill sergeant and creative director, and turned it into an engaging and eye-opening leadership training curriculum, giving people a strong and varied foundation from which to develop their own leadership style. Highly recommend for first time leaders or those new to leadership training. And he’s funny.

Dave’s creative flair and vulnerability makes abstract leadership topics easy to wrap your head around. I recommend his program for new and aspiring managers, technical founders, entrepreneurs, and seasoned leaders looking for solid ground in an age of uncertainty.

“I couldn’t have been happier with Dave Moore as my personal drill sergeant. He offered a winning structure for effective leadership. And, he never yelled, “Drop and give me twenty!”
